A Prayer of Surrender
Heavenly Father, we sense the spark of human fire in our Souls. buried deep within, covered with all kind of weeds, yet at the same time the flames of your own pure life burn bright, desiring, inviting, even threatening to consume our little fires. If only we could find a way to yield, if only the spark could cease to seek its own fire, and just wake up to yours permanently. We are possessed by that ancient rebellious spirit that desires to be like God. It is a
nature that seeks its own self identity apart from you oh God. We separate ourselves from you, but all you have ever wanted was to be one with us. Giving meaning to our lives as we partake in your Eternal design. Knowing fully well that, if left to myself I am unreliable, I ask of you oh Lord for my ‘mana’, my spiritual daily bread. Would you hold my hand as I write this book.
