Psalm 26: I love the Church

Psalm 26:8 – Loving God's House

"LORD, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory dwells."

David expresses his love for the house of God, emphasizing the importance of belonging to the community of faith.

The Local Church and Spiritual Growth

  • We are branches connected to Him, and fruitfulness comes from staying connected(John 15:5).

  • Separation leads to barrenness—I tried to thrive without the Church and failed.

  • Love fuels service—without love for God's people, serving becomes difficult.

The Circle of Self

Each of us lives within an invisible circle that defines who we love and who has access to our hearts.

  • Marriage expands the circle to include a spouse.

  • Parenthood widens it further to embrace children.

  • On the cross, Christ stretched His hands to include all mankind (John 3:16).

How big is your circle? Are you expanding it to include God's people?
