Psalm 9:18 – God’s Care for the Needy

"But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish."

Late last week, Pastor Ibrahim was finally able to access the internet and send me a message. He shared that he and his family had miraculously survived the recent fighting in Goma, a conflict-stricken town in eastern Congo.

Burdened by their situation, I shared the need with our Bible reading group at church. In just one hour, we raised $1,000. Within 24 hours, that amount grew to $1,500. This money is now being distributed among various families, helping them purchase groceries and essential supplies.

As I read Psalm 9:18 yesterday, I was reminded that God remembers the needy through us. It is through our obedience that the hope of the afflicted does not perish. May we continue to be His hands and feet in times of crisis.
