IF GOD GAVE YOU A NEW SONG, SING IT.
Psalm 40:3 – “He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.”
When you're in trouble, you cry out to God.
When He helps you, don’t call it a coincidence.
Celebrate it. Testify. Worship.
Why Some Stay Silent After God Helps Them
There are common reasons people hold back their praise:
“I’m a private person.”
“I don’t want to sound boastful.”
“What if it wasn’t really God?”
But if you prayed and He came through—give Him the credit.
David’s Example: Don’t Withhold God’s Glory
Psalm 40:9 – “I proclaim your saving acts in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips, Lord, as you know.”
David wasn’t perfect, but he was passionate about giving God the glory.
When God moved in his life, David made it public. Why?
To glorify God – Let the world know God is faithful.
To encourage others – Your testimony could be the hope someone else needs.
To strengthen your own faith – Speaking of God's goodness helps you remember it.
DON’T STAY SILENT
When your season changes—when God rescues, provides, heals, or opens a door—don’t keep it to yourself.
Sing your new song.
Share your testimony.
Bring the fruit of your lips—a thank offering—in the great assembly. (Hebrews 13:15)
