John 12: Revelation of Jesus , Mary’s Profound Act of Worship

The Grace to See

As I continue to write my book on the sight of the throne—a project that has been ongoing for quite some time now—I've been reflecting on the profound truth that God grants us the grace to see with the eyes of our hearts. Mary exemplifies this beautifully; she received the grace to recognize Christ's true identity as God veiled in humanity. This revelation led her to respond with unreserved worship.

Moreover, John's Gospel draws a fascinating connection to Isaiah. In John 12:41, John reveals that Isaiah's vision of the Lord in Isaiah 6 was actually a vision of Christ. Isaiah described seeing the Lord "high and exalted," and John confirms that this vision was indeed of Jesus. The realization that our Lord Jesus is the One Isaiah beheld fills my heart with awe and worship.
