John 14
John 14:6 states, "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" This profound statement raises the question: How can Jesus embody all these attributes? He himself proclaimed, "I am the bread of life, and the light of the world, and the gate, and the resurrection and the life, and the truth and the way."
Perhaps we can approach this mystery through the concept of "The Spirituality or Simplicity of Divine Essence." Consider a multifaceted diamond. As you observe it, you encounter attributes such as infinity and power. Upon further inspection, you perceive undying love. Examine it even closer, and you discern perfect justice. Astonishingly, these are not multiple separate characteristics; they are, in essence, unified. His love is intrinsically powerful, and his power is inherently loving. God cannot be unjust to exhibit mercy; rather, his justice is inherently merciful.
