HERE IS WHY YOU MUST BE BE BORN AGAIN
From the very beginning of creation, humanity was designed to live in complete dependence on Christ. The creation story tells us that man was given life, but not life inherent in himself. He was given light, but not light originating from within. Christ was meant to be both the source of our life and the light that illuminates our souls—enabling God-consciousness within mortal bodies, allowing us to know who we are and how God feels about us.
Before the disobedience in the Garden of Eden, the Light of Christ was humanity’s dwelling place. It was our livelihood, the environment in which we lived, moved, and had our being. This light made unbroken fellowship with our Creator possible.
Today, the majority of humanity has lost the awareness of God’s love. How could they keep it when sin has thrust Christ outside of the heart? “In Him was life, and that life was the light of men” (John 1:4). Without this light, Adam and his descendants were plunged into utter darkness.
The Scriptures reveal that in Eden, humans were capable of perceiving the footprints of God in the cool of the day. Whether this awareness was through physical hearing or spiritual sensitivity, one thing is clear: this ability came from Christ. And when sin entered the world, that ability was lost until His death on the cross.
