Psalm 24:The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it

The Divine Source of Giving

If we look to ourselves as the source of what we give, we will soon find we have nothing to give. True giving flows from Christ within us—the ultimate source, owner, and sustainer of all we offer.

"What do you have that you did not receive?" (1 Corinthians 4:7)

1. Giving Yourself: Christ in You

When we give our time, love, or service, we must be aware that Christ is working through us.

"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." (Galatians 2:20)

2. Giving Your Time: Serve as Unto Christ

Our service to others is ultimately for Christ Himself.

"As you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." (Matthew 25:40)

3. Giving Your Money: Be a Channel, Not an Owner

We are stewards, not owners. All we give belongs to God.

"The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it."(Psalm 24:1)
"Honor the LORD with your wealth." (Proverbs 3:9)
