Psalms 19; The Voice of God

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE VOICE AND WORD OF GOD ?

1. The Word of God

The Word of God refers to God's revealed truth, which is primarily found in Scripture. The Bible is called the Word of God because it is His authoritative revelation to humanity (2 Timothy 3:16 , Hebrews 4:12).

The Word of God is unchanging, eternal, and serves as the foundation for faith and practice.

2. The Voice of God

The voice of God refers to His direct communication with an individual or group, it could be

• Audible voice – God spoke to Moses from the burning bush (Exodus 3:4).

•  Inner conviction – The Holy Spirit prompts and leads believers (John 16:13, Romans 8:14).

•  Prophetic revelation – " My sheep hear my voice"  (John 10:27), referring to personal guidance.

3.How They Work Together

God's voice never contradicts His Word. If someone claims to hear the voice of God, it must align with Scripture. The Word is the standard by which we judge any claim to hearing God' s voice (1 John 4:1, Galatians 1:8).
