PSALMS 7: ACCEPTING FORGIVENESS
Do you find it hard to forgive yourself?
In Psalms 6, David acknowledges his sin and repents: "Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath." In Psalms 7, he confesses his integrity before God: "Vindicate me, Lord, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High." The Psalms may not be chronological, but as Nick noted yesterday, David repented, received forgiveness, and saw himself as pure before God.
The lesson here is simple: if God has forgiven your sins, you should forgive yourself too.
